Garmin Connect - Activity Details for Untitled
Just got a new watch that records exercises that can be transfered to internet like Blogger, Twitter, etc. Thought I would share my first. OH, I think I need to get in shape. Technology usually motivates me.

Garden Tour
We put our garden in our church garden tour this last Friday. There were 8 homes on the garden tour list. Braden and I went out to visit while Charlene & Lexi gave the tours of our garden and served brownies, grapes, and othere snacks and drinks. I thought I'd share some photos and tips and tricks of gardening I learned from the various participants. This will take some time, so I think I'll publish a little at a time.

First stop, the Deckers. I let Braden take a lot of pictures here. Here is My favorite, looks like it's new, it's written in on the map, but I couldn't understand the abbreviation "Hydra", it's the purple/red one.

Sorry, we missed a picture of the beautiful arch-way covered by georgeous plants, and the famous garden map with numbered plants to look up scientific and common names in the book!! This bench is surrounded by the Garden of Eden.
We saw Tammy Christiansen, Kathy and Bob's Daughter who helped us look up a few plants.
If Braden looks a little blury, it's the celestial effect of the Garden of Eden.

What a peaceful tour, Thank you Bob and Kathy, let's take a look at a few close-ups, compliments of my personal Photographer, Braden.
Braden liked the leaves. I liked the Deep Blue Color. The purple one is a type of Hydrandia.

More pictures coming, Some vegetable gardens, more flowers, Beautiful! And I must break up my writing, due to the difficulty of Blogging, and the Blogger inserting several spaces every time I upload a picture. Why don't they just make it so you can upload several pictures at once? Or is there a way?

A bridge to Eternity...
Our long Journey began, as Charlene headed off to her Quilting Class. We headed to return Library books to keep down our ever mounting fines. Braden said, I want to go to the Carousel.
We went to the Salem Riverfront Carousel for Lexi's first ride on a horsey! She was having fun when someone pressed "go" and the the horse started galloping up and down.
She gave that sort of "ouunh!" sound she makes when she's not so sure this is going to be so fun.
But, before long, she was relaxing and enjoying the ride, so I could loosen up and try to get a few shots of all three of us. (That's braden tipping his head back with the red stripe on his pants behind me.)
And some shots missed some of us...
And, after the ride came to a complete stop...
I could send Braden out front a ways to capture Lexi's Moment. I think she's giving you a little wave.
And some shots around the Carousel:
Um, Hello, Lexi, Over Here!!
There We Go!!
Whew!! Who knew Blogging took so much time, it's been over an hour, 3 failed attempts (Blogger crashed) At least I realized where the autosaved drafts are... Guess you'll have to wait until next episode to see our next stop on our Journey, our trip to the Bridge to Eternity!!
A bridge to Eternity (Part II)
A special Bridge exists...

In the memory of our Children...
Braden, Lexi
and I walked across an old railroad bridge...
Built in 1912
by the Union Pacific Railroad.
Salem, OR converted it into a walking pathway
between the two parks-The Waterfront and Riverfront.
It's Great, you can see up and down the river! Feel the clean Oregon Breeze!!
Wow, look at that Oregon Duck, Oh, wait a second, it's an Oregon Goose. Thank Goodness for Zoom!!

Lots of people crossing, and it's been open less than a week.
This Guy was trying to Lighten the Mood with his excellent Snare Drum Music.
These are neat little out-croppings on the Bridge with a great view!
There are four of them.

Aren't these children adorable in the Out of doors?!
Well, I'll be absent from posting for a while, I've got a Seminar in San Diego. Oh, yeah, got an uncle to call there and see if the temple is close to my hotel. I'll try to take pictures of the beautiful temple.
Isn't it amazing how many marshmallow Bunnies you can eat while waiting for Google to upload pictures??

My poor little honda has been sputtering along sounding worse as time goes on. It's been guzzling oil for months. I took it to a mechanic who told me he couldn't see any build-up in the Cylinder area, so I should drive it until it dies or sell it before it starts to smoke.
Well, someone else, namely John Palmer, my employer, pointed out it sounds like the rods or the lifters are sticking. Perhaps it's been a while since I last tuned it up. Why yes, last I tuned it up, (two years ago) I couldn't get one of the spark plugs out, so I just left it in. I bet that's the Cylinder that is not firing! Well, after I drive the car over 10 minutes, it frees up and sounds like it's running well. Since the office is 2 miles away, I drive 7 minutes each way. I drive over 10 minutes about once a week.
John also informed me that small engines like mine like to run fast. In other words, I change gears too early. So, Charlene, I guess it's good that I don't shift into 5th Gear too soon. Tractors, and large Deisil trucks run at low RPM's, larger engines, I need to run mine more quickly though.
Our lives are similar, with Tune-ups needed regularly in all areas of life, physical, health, spiritual, mental, social, financial, emotional. This weekend, we are listening to General Conference, council of Prophets and Apostles of our day. I am finding a lot I can do to tune up my life and the lives of my family.
